Our family moved from Auckland to our avocado orchard in Tauranga in 2007. We’re high on the space, fresh air and of course the endless supply of fresh avocados we grow. The way we ate avocados completely changed. Gone were our bin-it moments from disappointing supermarket purchases; gone too were our buying two avocados a week, these days we live off the land and have our sensational home-grown avocados with everything.
The exciting thing is, we’re now sharing this experience with you too. It’s as simple as this – you place an order and we will pick and deliver our avocados to you within 1-3 working days.
The Fresh Avocado Company grew from requests by family and friends to send them a box of our “delicious” avocados. A seed was planted! We wanted to allow all Kiwis to experience freshly picked, avocados here in New Zealand. Andrew and I believe the best fruit should be served in the New Zealand fruit bowl.
And so The Fresh Avocado Company was born. To this day we stand by three supply principles:
- Our avocados are picked to order, they’re fresh.
- Our avocados suffer no cool store, there’s no flesh degradation as a result. You’ll taste the difference!
- Our avocados are not over-handled. We pride ourselves on minimum handling.
There are avocados and then there are Bay of Plenty avocados!
