PICKING
The Fresh Avocado Company want you ‘LOVE’ our fresh avocados as much as we do.
We pick specifically for you, the best quality avocados.
We pick on a SATURDAY, SUNDAY and MONDAY depending on the weather.
We cannot pick within 24 hours of rain.
We want you to have the best experience, eating what we believe to be the best-tasting avocados in NZ!
To do this they will be picked to order and lovingly packed and dispatched within 24 hours.
Our fruit is NEVER chilled.

DISPATCH
We dispatch orders Monday to Wednesday. All of our fruit is sorted and packed by hand.
Last orders for the week need to be received by 8pm on Tuesday.
We recommend South Island rural addresses and Waiheke Island residents to order at least by Monday to guarantee delivery before the weekend.
We have the backup day of dispatching to non-rural addresses on Wednesday in case picking has been delayed because of weather or public holidays.
You can also place orders by email.
Once your order has been collected, a confirmation email will be sent out to you.
The reason we dispatch no later than Wednesday is to ensure your avocados reach you before the weekend.
We pack your fruit into cardboard boxes nestled amongst shredded paper to minimise damage to fruit in transit.
DELIVERY
We use a reputable courier company for all our deliveries.
The following are the usual time frames for delivery after dispatch.
North Island – overnight
South Island – 2 working days
North Island Rural Delivery – add an extra day
South Island Rural Delivery and Waiheke Island – add an extra 1-2 days
We use a non-signature required courier delivery service. This means the courier company will leave your box in a safe place if you are not home when the delivery is made. If you have special instructions for the courier please add them to the comments section during checkout and we will pass them on.
If you do not receive your order within 4 working days after your avocados have been dispatched please contact us.
RURAL DELIVERY
The Fresh Avocado Company will deliver to your rural delivery address.
If you require rural delivery please select this option when placing your order.
To check if your address is considered rural follow this link http://www.addresscheck.co.nz, fill in your address and scroll down to NZ Couriers (North Island) or Post Haste (South Island).
Allow 1-2 working days extra in addition to the standard delivery time frame. Because of this, we recommend people from South Island rural delivery addresses and Waiheke Island should order on Monday to guarantee delivery before the weekend.
